  • Water-based inks are an excellent choice for those who want to reduce their environmental impact. Unlike traditional solvent-based inks, water-based inks are composed of natural, non-toxic materials, making them safe to use and better for the planet.

    These eco-friendly inks have a lower VOC (volatile organic compound) content, which means they emit fewer harmful chemicals into the air during the printing process. They also require less energy and resources to produce, resulting in a smaller carbon footprint.

    In addition, water-based inks are biodegradable and compostable, reducing their impact on landfills and the environment. They also produce vibrant, long-lasting prints that won't crack or fade over time.

    By choosing water-based inks, you can feel good about both the quality of your prints and their impact on the environment.

  • As a screenprint company, we understand the impact that our operations can have on the environment. That's why we've made a conscious effort to switch to FN-Ink, an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastisol inks.

    Unlike plastisol inks, FN-Ink is made from natural ingredients and renewable resources, making it non-toxic and safe for both our team and the environment. The ink is free from harmful chemicals such as heavy metals and VOCs, which can be harmful to the environment and human health.

    In addition to its environmental benefits, FN-Ink is also known for producing vibrant, high-quality prints that are long-lasting and durable. We've found that our clients love the look and feel of the prints created with FN-Ink, and we're proud to be able to offer a sustainable option that doesn't compromise on quality.

    Overall, our switch to FN-Ink has allowed us to reduce our environmental impact while still providing top-quality prints to our clients. We're excited to continue using this eco-friendly ink option and to help spread the word about the importance of sustainable printing practices.

  • Water-based ink and plastisol ink are two popular types of ink used in screen printing. Each has its own set of advantages and disadvantages, which makes it important to choose the right ink for each project.

    Water-based ink is a popular choice for many screen printing projects. It is made up of water, pigment, and a few other ingredients. Water-based ink is known for producing a softer feel on the garment and is great for designs that require a vintage or distressed look. It is also more eco-friendly as it contains no harmful chemicals. However, water-based ink is more difficult to work with, requires more time to cure, and can be less opaque than plastisol ink.

    At YSK we exclusively use Fn-ink. Fn-ink is a high-quality phthalate-free plastisol ink that is widely used in screen printing. It consists of PVC particles suspended in a non-phthalate plasticizer. Fn-ink plastisol ink produces a bright, opaque print that is easy to work with. It is particularly suited for printing on dark or colored fabrics as it provides excellent color vibrancy and durability. However, unlike water-based ink, plastisol ink can feel slightly heavy and rubbery on the garment. Despite this, Fn-ink plastisol ink is environmentally friendly and safe to use, thanks to its phthalate-free formula.

    Ultimately, the choice between water-based and plastisol ink depends on the specific needs of each project. That being said we encourage everyone to use waterbase ink as it is

  • We have stopped using aerosol sprays in order to eliminate our use of harmful chemicals that contain toxins and carcinogens harmful to both humans and our environment.

  • If you will be providing your own art please take into account the following specifications. For any questions/concerns, feel free to send an email to: Sales@yskprinthouse.com

    • Vector artwork is preferred (.ai or .pdf format), failure to provide it may result in a design fee of $20.

    • If you choose to provide raster images (.psd, .jpg, or .tif) please ensure that they are at 300dpi and that any multi-colored files have colors on separate layers.

    • Please provide your artwork at the actual print size to avoid any discrepancies during printing.

    • Our minimum line width is 1pt (at size), and minimum point size for readable type is 12pt.

    • When providing a vector image, remember to convert the text to outline mode and if applicable please provide us with your font name and style. Please also include any embedded images in the file.

    • Pantone Uncoated color numbers are encouraged. Otherwise we can provide color matching.

    • In case your artwork does not meet the specifications, we provide graphic design services at an hourly rate of $40.

    • As a business, we uphold ethical and legal standards in printing services. We will only reproduce your artwork with your permission, and we strictly prohibit the printing of any intellectual, copyrighted, or trademarked property belonging to others without their explicit consent.

  • Please note that we require a minimum order of 20 garments, with the option to choose two variants within this quantity, such as t-shirts and hoodies or a different color print/garment combination. Please note that in case of a color change, a fee of $15 may apply. For orders totaling less than $300, there may be a small shipping charge. If you plan to provide your own garments, please contact us in advance and ensure to provide additional garments for any potential misprints.

  • If you wish to place an order with us, please note that we require the following before we can proceed:

    • Final approval of the artwork

    • Confirmation of order details

    • Payment in full

    Once we have received these, we can begin processing your order. Our average turnaround time is 10-14 days after we receive your garments, but please be aware that orders placed for specialty or backordered items may take longer.

    Please note that we are not responsible for any out-of-stock items, and if a replacement cannot be found, we may offer a refund for the item or provide another round of printing for your garments.

    We may be able to accommodate rush orders, but it depends on our current workload. Please contact us to inquire about rush order availability. Please note that rush orders will be subject to an additional fee.

  • Apart from the instructions specified by the manufacturer, no additional care is required.
